Summary of Job Description

Must be able to supervise and/or manage custodial activities in a designated area. The work requires knowledge of the practices and materials of the service and supervisory techniques, personnel policies, and procedures.

Job Tasks

Maintains records, prepares reports, and composes correspondence relative to the work.

Makes rounds to check for crew coverage of designated work areas, assigns needed coverage, gives special cleaning instructions and/or assignments, and ascertains compliance with directives.

Inspect work performed to ensure that it meets specifications and established standards.

Instruct staff in work policies and procedures, and the use and maintenance of equipment.

Investigate complaints about service and equipment, and take corrective action.

Perform or assist with cleaning duties as necessary.

Inspect and evaluate the physical condition of facilities to determine the type of work required.

Recommend changes that could improve service and increase operational efficiency.

Coordinate activities with other departments to ensure that services are provided in an efficient and timely manner.

Plan and prepare employee work schedules.

Requirements:

Must be able to pass drug screening test, background certification, E-VERIFY

Education:

High School Diploma or GED equivalent

1- year minimum janitorial Supervisor experience

Custodian Certification is a plus
